Alumni Corner – Where St. Paul’s Graduates Hang Out!
Desiring to maintain a connection with graduates of St. Paul’s, to let other St. Paul’s families know where those graduates are and what they are doing, and to give present St. Paul’s families information about where our graduates go to school and what they accomplish, three St. Paul’s graduates are highlighted in each new edition of the Alumni Corner.
High School Freshman: Haley Heramb is in the Seminar program at Point Loma High School and loving it! She joined a philanthropy group called My Girlfriend's Closet that collects and distributes clothes to foster teens. She volunteered to design a website for them which is an exciting challenge. Haley is also on the track team. The most exciting opportunity of this year was a modeling competition sponsored by Hurley. Haley was one of only two freshmen involved. She got to visit the Hurley headquarters, designed the entire show working with Hurley representatives, and competed against three other local schools. Haley helped win $2,000.00 for Pt. Loma High!
High School Graduate: Elisa Jordan graduated from St. Paul’s in 2000 and Point Loma High School in 2007. Currently, Elisa is a freshman at Point Loma Nazarene University. Though music is not her major, Elisa has been involved in music all of her life. She sang in the choir at St. Paul’s, she works with a church music program now and she sings in church. Elisa performed a beautiful solo at St. Paul’s worship last Sunday! Singing opera could be in Elisa’s future!
College Graduate: Nathan Peregoy graduated from St. Paul’s in 1995 and Lutheran High School of San Diego in 1999. Nathan went to Concordia University in Seward Nebraska for his undergraduate degree and to the Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis for his postgraduate degree. Nathan is an ordained Lutheran minister currently serving as an associate pastor at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Largo, Florida.
