Hello.
The students are now well into the first act of The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare. They finished Photostory projects on their experiences in Catalina, and are continuing to track the stock market. They completed two art projects this week, and we’ve reviewed the previous book reports, highlighting general areas in which they can be improved (overall they were great, by the way). In other words, they’ve been busy. And in the coming week, we have a field trip to the Old Globe, one more art project, and an introduction to PhotoShop. And I wouldn’t be surprised if, sometime down the road, there was a pop quiz to review our Wordly Wise vocabulary. Oh yeah, we’re going to be talking quantum physics in our morning discipleship class, too (it is wondrous how it relates to so many issues of faith and spirituality). In other words, the students will continue to be busy.
A special note to congratulate the confirmands of St. Paul's. If you are able, please attend the confirmation service Sunday the 11th at 10am. Confirmation is the end of one journey and the beginning of another. It is important to recognize moments of transition, particularly a notable moment such as this.
Lastly, if you could include my mom in your prayers… she will be having heart surgery very soon.
