St. Paul’s Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school.
To be eligible for enrollment, all children, and their parents must agree to the following conditions:
1. Parents of the students must support the statements contained in the “Parent-Student Handbook”.
2. The children will submit to and be trained in the teachings of the Lutheran Church taken from the Word of God, as taught in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
3. The parents of the children will do everything possible to support the Christian instruction given to their children.
4. The children will comply with all the rules and regulations of the school so as to insure an efficient and orderly operation of the school.
5. The children will participate in school activities including school programs, school choirs, and other activities as approved by the Board of Education of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
6. Suitable information will be furnished as to the child’s age upon first enrollment into St. Paul’s Lutheran School.
7. Grade placement may be determined by standardized tests and previous record of enrollment and achievement.
8. Children to be enrolled in the first grade must be at least six years old by December first. Children to be enrolled in the kindergarten must be at least five years old by the same date.
9. Each child must comply with the immunization and health procedures of St. Paul’s Lutheran School and the laws of State of California.
Re-enrollment will not be accepted until all past fees and charges have been paid by June 30, or until alternative arrangements are made.
ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES
1. An enrollment application must be completed by a parent or guardian and must be signed along with the parent obligations sheet. Both sheets are to be turned in to the office.
2. An interview is arranged with the principal to share information concerning the prospective student and St. Paul’s Lutheran School.
3. All students will be accepted in the order of the date of receipt of the application forms and registration fees subject to the criteria stated above and the following basis:
a) Members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
b) Siblings of school families
c) Members of other Lutheran churches
d) Unchurched families
e) Member of other denominations
4. All students new to St. Paul’s will be placed on an automatic six week academic and behavior probation. At the end of the six week period, the teacher and the principal will recommend either full admittance, admittance on condition, or withdrawal. The final decision will be made by the Board of Education of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. St. Paul’s Lutheran School is not designed for children who have been recommended for special education.
